The Vysočina Region is preparing together with 10 different partner regions a seminar on spatial planning and development in rural and urban areas. The seminar will take place within the European Week of Regions and Cities (Open Days) in Brussels between 7th and 10th October, 2013. In order to organise the seminar, the Vysočina Region joined a partnership of 11 regions from Europe and beyond.
„The debate should focus on both cross-border and regional experiences connected to the challenges the regions are facing in the field of spatial planning in urban and in rural areas. Our partners for this event come from Austria, Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Italy, France and even Turkey,“ said the representative of the Vysočina Region in Brussels, Martina Richtová Tomšů.
This year’s European Week of Regions and Cities will be attended by 200 regions from more than 30 counties from Europe. Hundreds of seminars, workshops and many other events will take place during the three days in Brussels. This year’s 11th European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels will be held under the slogan ‘Europe's regions and cities taking off for 2020’ and will take place in the period of culminating preparations for the next programming period 2014-2020.
