The Jihlava festival celebrates documentary films and is the largest event of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. The Echoes of the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival held in Brussels in 2013 attracted hundreds of viewers from among the locals. This year’s programme will include the winning films from the 2013 Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, accompanied by a selection of other interesting films from last festival’s edition. Most film screenings will be followed by discussions with the film-makers.
The opening night held in the Nova Cinema on Friday 31 January 2014 will present the best Czech documentary of 2013, The Great Night, with its director Petr Hátle in attendance, as well as the best documentary in Central and Eastern Europe called Winter/Miracle by Croatian director Zeljka Sukova. The opening night will also feature the Bulgarian film Lecedra. Another 11 films of both European and international production will be presented at the festival.

The Vysočina Region is organising together with 10 other partner regions a seminar within the 11th European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, also called the “Open Days".
EUREGHA is currently looking for an intern to the Permanent Secretariat in Brussels. The intern will work closely with the Operations Manager in the daily coordination of the network. During the internship, the intern will acquire knowledge of EU Health Policy; develop the ability to work in a team with other professionals as well as developing an understanding of the functioning of the European institutions and their interaction with various stakeholders in Brussels.
On Friday 14th June, the traditional Czech Street Party in Brussels took place in the Caroly Street. The music of Czech interpreters, the culinary specialities from several Czech regions and the nice weather attracted a big number of visitors.

The seventh Czech Street Party, the biggest Czech event in Brussels, will take place on Friday, 14 June 2013 in rue Caroly.
The event is organized by the City of Prague, the Czech Centre in Brussels, the South Moravian Region, the Pilsen Region, the Ústí Region, the Vysočina Region, the Olomouc Region, the Karlovy Vary Region, the Moravian-Silesian Region, agencies Czelo and Czechtourism, cities of Pardubice and Kladno, and by the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU. It is sponsored by the ČEZ Group and Skoda Auto.
A selection of best Czech rock music together with information, regional specialties and traditional drinks from regions of the Czech Republic will be presented.
